Description

The settlement is situated southeast of Maharski prekop pile-dwelling, on fallow Spodnje mostišče. In 1974, Tatjana Bregant set a smaller test pit on the parcel 1251 CM Studenec-Ig, while she was excavating on Maharski prekop. Inside the test pit, she found a few fragments of pottery, similar to the ones from Maharski prekop, and a pile sunk vertically in the eastern part. The data on settlement remains are very scarce. Therefore, we can not determine with certainty the preservation level of the site. A well-preserved cultural layer with piles is expected. The relation towards neighbouring settlement points from this area is not known; it might be a unified pile-dwelling settlement. / The settlement is situated southeast of Maharski prekop pile-dwelling, on fallow Spodnje mostišče.
